First, don't miss Adult Forum on October 12th during Christian Education Hour (9am - 10am). Julie Delezenne from The Night Ministry will be joining us at Messiah to talk about homelessness and the work of The Night Ministry (http://www.thenightministry.org/). Did you know that the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago is one of the top destinations for teenage runaways living on the street? The Night Ministry provides assistance to the homeless in Chicago -- food, basic medical care, and shelter. We are also collecting cookies to give to Julie to be handed out in their ministry. Sign up to bring cookies. They need to be packaged 3 to a plastic bag and can be homemade or store bought. You can bring them to Adult Forum on the 12th, so we can give them to Julie to thank her for coming to talk with us! E-mail me for details on packing cookies. I think you will enjoy this adult forum. Please try to attend.

October 24 @ 6PM "Coffee House" and Open Mike Night at Park Ridge Presbyterian Church -- The Youth Group at the Park Ridge Presbyterian Church is sponsoring a coffee hour and open mike night on Friday October 24th. We have been invited to join them and participate. Mark you calendar. If you have talent, playing an instrument, singing, or performing, this is a great chance to show off that talent. This is also a wonderful way to meet other Christians from the Park Ridge Community....many of whom you may sit next to in class and not even know it!

Saturday November 1st from 4:30pm until 7:30pm – The Annual Messiah Youth Spaghetti Dinner We will need help to set-up, cook, serve, clean up, etc. This event will take help form ALL of the youth, so I hope you can spend a couple of hours with us. The funds we raise go to the Youth Group. There is a national youth gathering in New Orleans next July.....We would love to be able to get a group of our Messiah Youth. To do that we need to make this fund raiser a success! Please help us with ticket sales through October....Ask your family and friends to attend - the more people the more fun!
